The Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T.) consists of Patrol Officers who volunteer to undergo specialized training to deal with calls concerning people who are effected by mental illness. The training they receive enables these Officers to more effectively understand and assist people who have been diagnosed with a mental illness and who are off their medication, are suicidal, depressed or show signs of mental illness.  It is this Department's goal to be able to resolve each crisis situation in a manner that shows concern for the persons well being.
