The Traffic Enforcement Unit consists of Non-sworn personnel and was created to address the traffic congestion at the front of the terminal and also to allow the Officers to spend more time inside the terminal during the peak hours to assist the traveling public by concentrating more on crime prevention. The Unit strictly enforces a “no parking/no waiting” policy which was implemented by the Airport Authority. Creating this position strictly for enforcing this policy, and implementing an extended free parking time in sort term policy, the traffic congestion and the number of citations written has been greatly reduced. |
