IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY - DIAL 911

A Communications Supervisor, who oversees the overall operation, and ten certified Public Safety Telecommunicators staff the Center. Rapid deployment of personnel and emergency response equipment is achieved by making first notification to this Department.  The professional team of operators is ready to initiate immediate response to any situation.

The Communications operators are certified by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations to access several interrelated but relatively independent systems.  These systems include:

  • National Law Enforcement Teletype System - allows messages to be sent to other police agencies throughout the world.
  • National Crime Information Center - located at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. - serves as a computerized index for documented police information concerning crime and criminals of nationwide interest.
  • Tennessee Information Enforcement System - stores driver license information and state registration information.
  • Computerized Telephone System.
  • Jail Management System.
  • Criminal Justice Information System.
  • C.A.D. - Computer Aided Dispatch.
  • A.C.A.M.S. - Access Control Automated Monitoring System.
  • E.N.S.-Emergency Notification System.
  • P.I.B.S.-Photo Imaging Badge System.

Sincerely,

Clifford Robinson

Communication Supervisor
