To accomplish this mission, the department will maintain a state of readiness through the constant training and development of personnel, and testing of the department's fitness level to respond to the distinctive needs of an international airport environment.  Our primary emphasis is civil aviation security.  Our secondary responsibilities include general law enforcement, public safety, physical property security, emergency planning and disaster operation, counter terrorism, and executive/dignitary protection.  We recognize our role as airport ambassadors to the City of Memphis and we are ever vigilant to maintain a positive relationship with tenants, passengers and fellow employees, committed always to look for ways to improve in all we do.  To accomplish our mission, we embrace the following values:
