FedEx in the News
Memphis International Airport’s leading cargo customer has recently been in the news for its leadership in reducing dependence on petroleum-based fuels. A profile piece produced by Minnesota National Public Radio that ran during NPR’s Morning Edition broadcast on April 2, highlighted the leadership in the use of electric and hybrid vehicles, along with its interest in bio-fuels and natural gas. FedEx founder and CEO Fred Smith was interviewed for the report. A transcript of the more than 5-minute report is available at: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/features/npr.php?id=149703488.
