Brockman Installed As Association Leader and Recognized For His Industry Contributions
Scott Brockman, Executive Vice President and COO of Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) was elected as President of the Southeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives. The vote occurred at the 2010 Annual Conference hosted by MSCAA at the Memphis Downtown Marriott & Cook Convention Center. The event was attended by some 245 Association members and representatives from related businesses.
Brockman was also named the Chapter’s 2010 Airport Professional of the Year for his recent accomplishments and contributions to the industry. These include chairing the AAAE Audit Committee, serving on the AAAE Board of Examiners, and serving on various Transportation Research Board panels, in addition to previous leadership positions with Airports Council International-North America.
AAAE is the largest professional organization for airport executives in the world and the Southeast Chapter, which Brockman will preside over, is the largest chapter having more than 450 members from 12 states plus the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia. The group promotes professional development of airport executives through accreditation and educational programs.
