Symphony Music is in the Air Again at Memphis International Airport

The 2008/2009 Arts in the Airport season was such a success it is back for another season. Memphis International Airport is hosting eight concerts by Memphis Symphony Orchestra ensembles. The 2-hour, two ensemble format remains the same this season. The benefits to the air travel customers and our community are priceless. This popular program helps make Memphis a memorable destination, provides tremendous enjoyment to air travelers, supports local arts and provides a soothing break from the bustle of air travel.

The season started September 11 in front of a busy terminal full of air travelers. The concerts are all scheduled on Fridays, one of the busiest travel days of the week. Times and locations for the two 1-hour performances are 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. near the Blue Note Café and across from the Food Court in Concourse B.
