Coffee on the Fly
Two new Starbucks opened last month at Memphis International. Now 'meeters and greeters' can enjoy their favorite coffee while waiting for their family, friends and colleagues in a spacious location in Terminal B's Ticket Lobby. Previously, Starbucks was only available in locations beyond the passenger security checkpoint.
Since liquids are not allowed to be carried through the security checkpoint, the second location is conveniently located just beyond Terminal B's security checkpoint, enabling passengers to quickly grab a cup to go on their way to their gate.
There are now five Starbucks locations throughout Memphis International.
Ticket Lobby B has undergone some recent concession updates. In addition to the new Starbucks, TravelEx/International Business Service Center has had a facelift to reflect the company's new branding. The updated fašade makes the business more visible and gives it more of a banking or financial institution look with the glass front, new signage, and a new signature color scheme of yellow, blue and gray. Memphis is the first location to showcase the company's new look.
TravelEx has been serving air travelers at Memphis International Airport since 1980. In addition to offering more than 100 currencies, TravelEx offers travelers cheques, travel insurance, phone cards, Western Union Wire Services and other business related services such as document typing and faxing. There also is a satellite Foreign Currency kiosk at Gate B35 near the International Arrivals/Departure gate.
