New Air Services
American Airlines has announced a new service to New York through its regional affiliate, American Eagle, in time for Christmas. The new route from Memphis to LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) will begin December 13.
American Eagle will fly the new route twice daily with an Embraer 135 jet seating 37 customers.
Continental Express Airlines is adding two daily nonstop flights to Cleveland next spring to complement its existing Memphis service and to provide connections with Northwest Airlines, its partner in the SkyTeam alliance.
The new flights will begin May 4, 2008, with departures at 7:28 a.m. and 2:03 p.m. Return flights from Cleveland are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. The route will be served with 50-seat regional jets.
The new Memphis service will bring Continental's Memphis service to a total of 12 daily departures including its existing Houston and Newark flights.
