Authority Is Cited Again For Financial Reporting Excellence

Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA) has again conferred a Certificate of Achievement upon Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority for its Excellence in Financial Reporting in its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

This Certificate was given for the 2005 CAFR prepared by the Authority's Finance Division. This is the 17th consecutive year MSCAA has received this award.

GFOA's Certificate of Achievement is considered the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The Certificate Program, which was established in 1945, is designed to recognize and encourage excellence among government finance professionals.

GFOA is the professional association of state / provincial and local finance officers in the United States and Canada, and has served the public finance profession since 1906.
