International Civil Air Patrol Cadets Visit Memphis International

Memphis International Airport hosted a group of International Air Cadets visiting Tennessee as part of an exchange program with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary.

The cadets from the United Kingdom and Canada were escorted by Montille Warren, Lt. Col., CAP, Tennessee Director of Cadet Programs from Savannah, Tenn.

Every summer, U.S. Civil Air Patrol cadets from each state are selected to participate, visiting aviation facilities in one of several foreign countries. In return, aviation cadets from those countries are guests of the U.S. CAP for two weeks.

The cadets began their two weeks in Tennessee by flying to Memphis International and touring the airfield. Part of their tour included a demonstration of Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) equipment and a midnight sort at the FedEx Hub. Of course no trip to Memphis is complete without tasting the local BBQ and visiting Elvis Presley's Graceland.
