Travelers Can Get Their Groove On At Sun Studio Café and Rhythms Café

Travelers can relax and listen to live music at both Sun Studio Café and Rhythms Café as they wait for their flights.

Guitarist and vocalist David Brookings will be performing at Sun Studio Café every Wednesday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Located in terminal B, Sun Studio Café offers a uniquely Memphis atmosphere with music paraphernalia lining the walls and a music-themed menu. Fun menu trivia about Sun Studio and its many famous recording artists adds to the ambiance of the restaurant

Brookings' musical style can be described as pop-driven alternative-rock with haunting melodies, and catchy hooks that resonate 24 years of life-experiences. It is fitting that he is performing at the Sun Studio Café since he works as a tour guide at the legendary Sun Studio during the day while constantly writing and playing gigs at night.

Rhythms Café

Rhythms Cafe & Bar also in Concourse B, near Gate 35 also has live music provided by Marcus Scott every Thursday and Friday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Scott will cover music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. He enjoys R&B/Soul music and will cover artists such as Ray Charles, Al Green and Sam Cooke.

Rhythms' menu features favorite items from Memphis Restaurants including Huey's, Half Shell and Folk's Folly.
