Northwest Announces Additional Service Enhancements
In an ongoing effort to heighten customer satisfaction Northwest Airlines has introduced several new service enhancements. A new Coaches Choice Seating program, and the addition of exclusive code share agreements with Hawaiian Airlines and Midwest Airlines to their WorldPerks frequent flyer program mean more travel choices for Northwest customers.
The Coaches Choice Seating allows passengers who prefer extra leg room to purchase preferred seats on aisles and exit rows in coach class for $15 per flight. Seats are available 24 hours prior to departure. To purchase preferred seats visit nwa.com check-in or Manage My Reservations. Click on My Seat Selection to select and purchase a Coach Choice seat. Or, go directly to the airport and purchase a Coach Choice seat at a self-service check-in kiosk.
Coach Choice is a test product available anywhere in the United States. Only 5 percent of seat assignments will be saved for Coach Choice so check-in early for more choices.
Northwest Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have signed an exclusive interisland code share agreement for air travel within the state of Hawaii. Northwest customers booking transpacific flights to Hawaii with connections to Kauai, Maui and Hawaii's Big Island will enjoy seamless connections with ticketing and luggage. The agreement is especially beneficial for members of the two airlines' frequent flyer awards programs.
HawaiianMiles members earn frequent flyer miles when traveling on Northwest and can redeem mileage awards for flights to any destination Northwest serves worldwide, except routes served by Hawaiian. Members of WorldPerks, Northwest's frequent flyer awards program, earn 500 miles for every interisland flight taken aboard Hawaiian and actual mileage between Honolulu and Sydney, Pago Pago, or Papeete. WorldPerks members can also redeem their mileage on all Hawaiian interisland and South Pacific flights.
Milwaukee-based Midwest Airlines has become the 26th partner in Northwest's WorldPerks frequent flyer program. The partnership will allow members of WorldPerks to earn and redeem miles on flights operated by Midwest Airlines and its subsidiary, Skyway Airlines, operating as Midwest Connect. Midwest Airlines' Midwest Miles frequent flyer program members will be able to earn and redeem miles on all flights operated by Northwest Airlines and Northwest Airlink partner airlines, Pinnacle Airlines and Mesaba Airlines. Midwest Airlines' Midwest Miles program members will also be able to redeem miles on KLM as part of the agreement.
