Continental Inaugurates 4th Non-Stop MEM to New York Flight

(September, 2004) Continental Express inaugurated its fourth non-stop flight from Memphis to their New York area hub September 9th.

The new flight  provides an early morning departure of 7:10 am from Memphis that will again allow busy and extremely time-conscious travelers to fly to New York and conduct a full day of business before returning to Memphis the same day.

The ability to get in a whole day of work ceased when Northwest Airlines discontinued their 4th bank of daily flights from MEM last January. Now, with this additional Continental Express flight, travelers can breakfast in Memphis, lunch in New York and be home in their own bed that night.  Last flight back to Memphis each day leaves Newark Liberty International Airport 8:14 pm

arriving Memphis 10:14 pm.  This later return flight by Continental than previously offered by Northwest further enhances the MEM—New York daytrip service.

The flight  is served by a quiet 50-passenger ERJ-145 ExpressJet (regional jet).
